How are sales tax collected?

Learn how to charge the correct sales tax % on your sales.

Sales Tax:

You can change the default sales tax rate for their auctions by going to: 

Settings --> manage sales tax, and adjusting the percentage. 

Please note:

• Some sellers conduct auctions in places with a different tax rate. 
• This means that the sale is subject to a different sales tax rate than the account default.
• With this in mind, you can change the tax rate for any given auction. 

TWO QUICK TIPS: 

1. The sale takes place wherever the seller is located.
2. If shipping an item, the shipper is taking the goods on behalf of the bidder.
