# Extra options: Post Auction as Coming Soon

## Learn what the "post auction as coming soon" option does, and how to use it strategically.

### Posting an auction as "Coming Soon"

Posting an auction as coming soon allows you to create a sale preview, before the sale actually goes live. Bidders can follow and set reminders on items of interest while a sale is posted as coming soon.

- Coming soon auctions are not visible on the marketplace. 
- Coming soon auctions must have the coming soon box checked, and the "start auction" box checked on the manage auction page. 
- Coming soon auctions are only visible on the seller landing page. 
- You can select "preview auction" while the sale is posted as coming soon and copy the link in your browser.  
    - Paste the link directly into social media advertising to reach your audience. 

### PLEASE NOTE: 

If you started your auction, and you don't see it on the marketplace after 24 hours, check to make sure the auction isn't posted as "coming soon."
